Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and motivated Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst to join our dynamic business development team. Reporting to the Senior Analyst for M&A Analytics and collaborating closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in evaluating and executing acquisition opportunities, having contributed to over 25 completed deals in the past year.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough financial analyses of veterinary practices and participate in internal investment committee discussions.
- Update and refine complex financial models to evaluate target hospital profitability.
- Assist in preparing Letters of Intent for acquisition prospects.
- Develop comprehensive deal summaries and presentations for stakeholders, including leadership and potential sellers.
- Support due diligence by reviewing financial documents, reconciling data, and identifying potential risks or necessary adjustments.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ experience in accounting or corporate finance, preferably in multi-location healthcare settings.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
- Skilled in performing detailed financial and market analyses to assess acquisition viability and growth potential.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, especially with large datasets.
- Familiarity and curiosity with AI tools to enhance financial analysis and presentation tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Self-starter capable of high productivity and collaboration in a remote work environment.
- Experience in forecasting acquisition outcomes.
- Driven, demonstrating integrity and a positive professional demeanor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
