Liquidity Analyst

About the Role

Join the Commodities and Global Markets Credit Analytics, Capital and Liquidity team as a Liquidity Analyst. In this role, you will support a variety of trading desks specializing in commodities, fixed income, and currencies. Operating as a Line 1 risk function independent from the business units, the team collaborates closely with both the business and Commodities and Global Markets Management to oversee and enhance liquidity risk management.

This position requires working onsite in the Sydney office four days per week.

Responsibilities

• Learn about diverse financial products and gain a thorough understanding of their mechanisms.
• Apply your knowledge to manage liquidity and funding effectively.
• Prepare regular reports, conduct analyses, and monitor liquidity metrics as well as funding requirements.
• Identify and analyze key risk drivers affecting liquidity.
• Collaborate with different trading desks and stakeholders to identify issues and jointly develop solutions within a dynamic and inclusive team environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience in financial markets, trading, or a related field.
• A tertiary qualification in a quantitative or analytical discipline such as Finance, Science, or Engineering.
• A genuine interest in financial and commodity markets.
• Strong analytical capabilities, effective communication skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced trading environment.
