The Light Vehicle Fitter position is based at the Mungari Operations and involves maintaining and repairing a fleet of over 100 light vehicles used both underground and on the surface.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous operation by servicing and repairing a diverse fleet of underground and surface light vehicles.
• Identify faults efficiently and perform high-quality repairs to enhance vehicle reliability, minimise downtime, and promote safety.
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep vehicles at optimal performance consistent with site standards.
• Engage actively in hazard identification, risk control measures, and safety programs to maintain a secure work environment.
• Support continuous improvement by proposing enhancements to equipment reliability, maintenance protocols, and workshop productivity.
• Collaborate with operational and maintenance teams to guarantee vehicle availability meets business demands.

Work Conditions and Schedule

The role follows a 7:7 roster with 12-hour shifts and offers either residential opportunities in Kalgoorlie or FIFO arrangements from Perth.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical or an equivalent trade qualification
• Valid manual driver’s license
• Experience working with Toyota vehicle fleets
• Possession of Dangerous Goods Security Clearance
• Desirable experience maintaining underground light vehicles
• Strong knowledge of safe work procedures and work management systems
