Level 1 - Maintenance Labourer

Role overview

The Level 1 Maintenance Labourer supports the upkeep, cleanliness, and day-to-day organization of the facility. This position contributes to site housekeeping, basic surface restoration, and wider workplace-improvement efforts that help maintain a safe and efficient operation.

Key duties

• Keep the facility clean and assist with ongoing housekeeping upgrades across the site.
• Carry out cleaning tasks for individual workstations and manufacturing cells.
• Help implement and sustain 5S practices aimed at better organization, productivity, and safety.
• Handle painting, minor touch-ups, and small-scale surface repairs on facility and equipment surfaces.
• Use steam-cleaning equipment on machinery when needed.
• Arrange tools, supplies, equipment, and work areas so operations can run effectively.
• Work with the LPS Program Manager on continuous-improvement projects and related initiatives.
• Follow established work methods while also spotting opportunities to improve processes and conditions.

Education

A high school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
