Role Summary

The Lead - Warehousing will be responsible for managing daily operations within the Distribution Center at the Talegaon Plant. This includes overseeing dispatch activities, ensuring smooth material flow from the Plant to Distribution Center, onward to Dark Stores and B2B customers, and guaranteeing inventory integrity, dispatch timeliness, and adherence to operational compliance standards. The role demands close collaboration with Plant Operations, Transport, and Last Mile teams to facilitate seamless first and mid-mile logistics while supervising multi-shift warehouse functions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily functions of the Distribution Center across all shifts.
  • Supervise Warehouse Executives and the Plant Dispatch Executive to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Plan and coordinate dispatch and material movements between the Talegaon Plant, Distribution Center, and Dark Stores.
  • Monitor processes related to stock receipt, storage, sorting, staging, loading, and dispatch.
  • Ensure timely replenishment of Dark Stores and fulfillment of B2B dispatch orders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through correct stock handling, enforcing FIFO (First-In-First-Out), and prompt reconciliation of shortages and returns.
  • Oversee documentation accuracy for dispatches, stock transfers, and vehicle loading while ensuring compliance with operational standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Coordinate with Plant, Transport, and Last Mile teams to guarantee uninterrupted product flow.
  • Conduct frequent audits to uphold operational discipline, maintain housekeeping standards, and ensure cold chain compliance.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Enforce safety guidelines, warehouse compliance, and thorough documentation protocols.
  • Track daily operational metrics and regularly report on dispatch status, inventory levels, shortages, and material movements.

Performance Indicators

  • Dispatch Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance at Distribution Center.
  • Timeliness of Plant dispatches.
  • Accuracy of inventory records.
  • Strict adherence to FIFO procedures.
  • Precision in stock receiving and dispatch activities.
  • Accuracy in dispatch documentation.
  • Efficiency in material movement.
  • Low percentages of shortages and damages.

  • Compliance with warehouse policies and housekeeping standards.

Candidate Profile

  • Graduate in any field; qualifications in Supply Chain or Logistics are preferred.
  • 3 to 7 years of experience managing warehouse, dispatch, distribution, or logistics operations.
  • Exposure to FMCG, Dairy, Food Processing, or Cold Chain industries is advantageous.
  • Solid knowledge of warehouse processes including inventory control, dispatch planning, and material handling.
  • Strong leadership skills combined with effective coordination and problem resolution abilities.
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel and experience with warehouse management systems.
  • Must be willing to undertake frequent travel between the Distribution Center and Talegaon Plant.

Additional Information

The role reports directly to the General Manager of Logistics & Warehousing and provides an exciting chance to lead and optimize critical warehousing and dispatch functions within a rapidly growing supply chain setup.

Travel Requirement: Regular commuting to the Talegaon Plant is expected.

Salary Range: INR 20,000 to 35,000 per month.
