Role Overview
As a Junior Supply Planning Manager at Westwing, you will be responsible for overseeing the complete supply planning process for a designated portfolio of SKUs. Your role blends practical, hands-on planning expertise with analytical capabilities to ensure the right balance between product availability and inventory management. Based in Munich, this permanent position plays a vital role in supporting commercial goals and enhancing supply planning tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement 18-month rolling supply plans and contribute to designing supplier-specific replenishment strategies that optimize product availability and cost efficiency within budget restraints.
- Oversee inventory and manage excess stock across multiple sales channels including Stores, Partner Channels, B2B, and B2C; ensure proper stock segmentation and monitor stock health and promotional product availability to maximize gross merchandise volume while aligning with inventory turnover targets and capacity limits.
- Handle operational tasks such as managing smooth SKU transitions and inbound sales processes to maintain product availability and safeguard customer delivery timelines.
- Monitor supply and inventory key performance indicators, perform detailed investigations and ad-hoc analyses to identify root causes, and implement lasting improvements in performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Category, Marketing, Buying, and Operations to resolve operational challenges and successfully execute complex projects.
- Lead initiatives to improve planning accuracy and operational efficiency by developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and scalable workflows.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, economics, industrial engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least one year of experience in supply planning, supply chain management, or related sectors, preferably in a dynamic, fast-paced international setting.
- Strong numerical and data analysis skills with the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable plans; excellent Excel skills are required, and knowledge of SQL is advantageous.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities combined with a proactive and detail-oriented work style capable of swift execution.
- A self-motivated individual who can work independently while also excelling in collaborative team environments.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German is considered beneficial.
