Overview
We are seeking a meticulous Junior Paralegal to assist with a large-scale corporate legal document project encompassing multiple international jurisdictions. This hands-on role demands precision, effective organization, and the ability to manage extensive document sets within strict deadlines.
Primary Responsibilities
- Facilitate the collection of signatures for numerous corporate legal documents.
- Oversee electronic signature processes (e.g., DocuSign) and manage the logistics of physical signatures across different time zones.
- Monitor the status of signatures and communicate with both internal teams and external parties to ensure timely completion.
- Review completed signature pages for correctness, appropriate authorization, and completeness prior to filing.
- Collaborate with the corporate compliance and governance team to prepare, execute, and file corporate documents within organizational systems.
- Maintain tracking of executed documents and resolve any outstanding issues promptly.
- Establish and sustain organized, audit-ready file systems for executed documents across various entities and global jurisdictions.
- Upload, categorize, and tag files within legal repositories or document management platforms such as SharePoint.
- Detect and report any missing documents or execution errors for further examination.
- Compile document binders, closing packages, and status tracking reports when requested.
Qualifications
- One to two years of experience in a paralegal, legal operations, or legal administrative role within a law firm or corporate setting.
- Preferred experience with corporate transactions, entity management, or legal closings.
- Knowledge of electronic signature tools (e.g., DocuSign) and legal document management systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple document workflows simultaneously.
- Ability to work across various jurisdictions and coordinate activities globally.
- Strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy critical to compliance and legal enforcement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with legal tracking technology is advantageous.
Working Conditions
- This is a full-time temporary contract expected to last about three months.
- Flexibility in working hours may be needed to accommodate coordination across global time zones.
- The role is remote and based in the United States.
