Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join Red Carrot remotely, contingent upon contract award. This role offers a unique chance to work on a prominent federal communications contract, producing impactful visual content that aligns with the agency's mission. The ideal candidate will have a creative approach, keen attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with senior team members and stakeholders to design accessible and engaging graphics tailored for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Art, Graphic Design, Information Technology, Media, Studio Arts, or related fields
At least 3 years of graphic design experience
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects
Experience assisting with design of posters, exhibits, publications, brochures, reports, and outreach materials
Skilled in creating presentations, partner templates, kiosks, speeches, and fact sheets
Ability to manage production processes for printed and interactive materials
Strong understanding of accessibility guidelines and ensuring 508 compliance
Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
Capability to secure the necessary government Fitness Determination

Responsibilities

Support senior staff in producing visual assets including posters, exhibits, photos, brochures, publications, and reports for federal outreach efforts
Design presentations, partner templates, kiosks, speeches, and fact sheets customized for client requirements
Create static and digital graphics, animations, icons, and multimedia optimized for web and print use
Update and maintain templates for standard outreach materials to ensure brand consistency
Oversee production workflows for printed and digital deliverables, managing deadlines and quality assurance
Ensure adherence to federal accessibility standards, including Section 508 compliance
Maintain consistent branding across all produced materials and communications
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to meet project goals effectively
