Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Senior Merchandiser, the Junior Collection Merchandiser will assist in all daily operational tasks connected to the Read-to-Wear (RTW) and Accessories (ACC) departments, focusing on tracking and improving their commercial results. This position demands efficient management of essential merchandising tools and processes while supporting the implementation of product strategies across seasons.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teams in Development, Design, Production, Marketing, and Sales to fulfill departmental objectives throughout seasonal cycles.
- Oversee the development process each season by maintaining accurate and updated collection documentation.
- Engage actively with the Small Accessory category, managing its product lifecycle.
- Conduct ongoing competitive and market research, concentrating on range configuration, pricing strategy, and benchmarking, offering recommendations when relevant.
- Organize and maintain administrative tasks related to Market activities for the Merchandising team, including timely completion of showroom reports, Zedonk data input, and monitoring sample handling before and during market events.
- Compile product training materials each season that clearly communicate essential product knowledge.
- Generate weekly sales analysis reports across all business channels and collaborate with the Merchandising team on strategic responses.
- Assist in preparing comprehensive Sell-In reports after seasons, incorporating market feedback and performance insights.
- Contribute to Off-price product management processes.
- Perform miscellaneous administrative duties required for smooth departmental function.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in Merchandising or Buying within a luxury fashion context is essential.
- Strong commercial awareness and sensitivity to product details with a deep understanding of the market and competitor landscape.
- Creative problem-solving abilities coupled with product insight.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with well-developed analytical and numerical skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a diligent approach to work.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; adept at tactful communication and comfortable delivering presentations.
