The Janitor position involves comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of designated areas within one or multiple client locations. Duties are flexible and assigned according to client needs and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all floor types by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Use chemical cleaners and power equipment properly to avoid damage to flooring and other surfaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, meeting rooms, hallways, and entrances.
• Dispose of trash correctly, including use of compactors when necessary.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with suitable cleaners and tools.
• Spot clean carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing as needed.
• Restock paper products and sanitary supplies regularly.
• Adhere to established housekeeping schedules.
• Occasionally operate heavy cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned based on customer requirements and job scope.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or possess at least six months of experience in a janitorial role.
• Training on the job will be provided to ensure successful performance.
• Good attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to follow instructions carefully and effectively.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of custodial procedures and commercial cleaning standards is beneficial.
• Understanding of floor care processes including buffing and waxing is preferred.
• Experience with industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is a plus.

Compensation and Schedule

• Position available for both part-time and full-time shifts.
• Work hours primarily in the evenings.
• Hourly wage of $14, with weekly payment.
