IT Systems Administrator

Position Overview

Mungo Homes is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join our team in Charleston, SC. This role focuses on the upkeep and supervision of our enterprise computer systems and networks, ensuring smooth operation and rapid resolution of technical issues. The successful candidate will collaborate across departments to address various technology needs and suggest system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver operational support and diagnose issues within WAN and LAN networks that utilize Cisco Meraki firewalls, switches, and access points.
• Deploy, fine-tune, and oversee network technologies to guarantee optimal performance.
• Physically install and cable network equipment in corporate facilities while keeping accurate documentation of installations.
• Test, evaluate, and implement network infrastructure upgrades.
• Identify and resolve hardware and software problems efficiently.
• Maintain up-to-date technical support procedures and generate related reports for organizational use.
• Analyze system logs and records to detect trends and foresee potential network issues.
• Collaborate with other technical team members to provide end-user assistance and fix issues.
• Create accounts for new users and provide support in password or login concerns.
• Stay informed about new tools and technological advancements to improve support services.
• Contribute insights regarding technical needs during company-wide meetings.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplines, supplemented by 2 to 3 years of experience in network administration or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills paired with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, adaptable to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability, ethical conduct, and integrity. Demonstrates reliability and surpasses expectations.
• Team-player mindset with willingness to assist colleagues and departments facing technical challenges.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple ongoing projects concurrently.
• Meticulous attention to detail and high standards for work output and documentation to minimize service interruptions.
• Proficient understanding of modern hardware and software troubleshooting principles including Microsoft operating systems, mobile platforms, and audio/visual equipment and software.
