Role Summary

The global IT division ensures seamless operational support enabling all team members to focus effectively on their main tasks. As a Network Engineer at Mirion Medical GmbH, you will be pivotal in maintaining a secure, dependable, and scalable network environment while contributing to its ongoing development. Balancing both operational duties and strategic projects, you will assist with network modernization, standardization, resiliency, and planning for capacity. Collaboration across teams to resolve technical challenges and deliver robust network solutions supporting business expansion is central to this position.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain secure Azure networking setups, such as virtual WANs, hub-and-spoke models, firewalls, network security groups, and virtual networks.
• Oversee and monitor network infrastructure ensuring operational stability and high availability.
• Diagnose complex networking and connectivity problems, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to evaluate network capacity, scalability, and accommodate future business demands.
• Assess and mitigate technical and business risks, offering guidance to enhance network security, resilience, and operational quality.
• Develop and update network standards, configurations, documentation, policies, and procedures, including change management and disaster recovery protocols.
• Perform security assessments and support disaster recovery testing to identify vulnerabilities and improve network dependability.

Required Qualifications and Abilities

• Several years of professional experience in network engineering, administration, or architecture within enterprise settings.
• Practical skills in managing hybrid network infrastructures incorporating both on-premise and Azure cloud environments; experience with Fortinet technology is advantageous.
• Proven analytic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities effective in resolving sophisticated network problems.
• Independent working style with ability to juggle multiple tasks and deliver sound decisions in a fast-moving atmosphere.
• Professionalism and resilience when addressing high-pressure incidents and service interruptions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical participants.
• Fluency in written and spoken German and English.
• Availability for on-call duties and willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
