Role Overview
The IT Help Desk Specialist acts as the frontline technical support liaison for employees, ensuring seamless operation and maintenance of IT systems. This position plays a crucial role in supporting efficient internal IT services by quickly addressing and resolving technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver first-level technical assistance via phone, email, and ticketing platforms.
- Diagnose and fix issues related to hardware, software, and networks.
- Document, prioritize, and monitor incidents and service requests effectively.
- Install, configure, and upkeep desktops, laptops, peripherals, and authorized software.
- Refer complex problems to senior IT personnel with comprehensive details.
- Handle user account tasks, including password resets and managing permissions.
- Create and update technical documentation and user manuals.
- Foster a customer service-oriented and collaborative team atmosphere.
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior experience in IT help desk or technical support roles is essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office 365.
- Knowledgeable with help desk ticketing software and remote support tools.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work autonomously and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Preferred certifications include CompTIA A+ and ITIL Foundation.
Compensation and Employment Details
- Hourly compensation ranging from 28 to 33 USD.
- Opportunities available for both full-time and part-time employment on a permanent basis.
