Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable monitoring systems using LogicMonitor to ensure optimal availability and performance of critical infrastructures spanning data centers and cloud.
• Configure, maintain, and fine-tune Splunk observability setups including data ingestion, dashboard creation, and alerting mechanisms to facilitate prompt incident management and problem resolution.
• Create automation scripts and reusable assets to streamline monitoring configuration deployment and maintenance, reducing manual labor and promoting consistency across environments.
• Work collaboratively with application, infrastructure, and security teams to gather monitoring requirements and translate those into LogicMonitor and Splunk configurations aligned with organizational standards.
• Diagnose complex problems related to monitoring pipelines such as data collection, alert accuracy, and dashboard reliability, driving long-term fixes and enhancements.
• Deploy and improve alerting frameworks that reduce false alarms and accelerate detection and resolution of genuine incidents, positively impacting mean time to detect and resolve metrics.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation including monitoring architectures, runbooks, and standard operating procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure smooth operations across rotational shifts.
• Liaise with service owners during platform upgrades and deployments to verify comprehensive monitoring coverage and timely onboarding of new services into LogicMonitor and Splunk.
• Analyze infrastructure performance and event data trends to identify potential capacity concerns, reliability issues, and optimization opportunities that support business continuity and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure monitoring configurations, logs, and dashboards comply with internal security policies and external regulatory standards to support audits and compliance activities.
• Operate within a hybrid, rotational shift schedule to provide continuous monitoring support and incident response, collaborating efficiently across various time zones.
• Drive continuous improvement by assessing new features of LogicMonitor and Splunk, recommending enhancements, and executing proof of concept projects that deliver measurable benefits.
• Maintain engagement with vendor support and internal stakeholders to resolve complex product issues and align implementations with best practices for LogicMonitor and Splunk platforms.

Candidate Qualifications

• Seven to eight years of comprehensive experience in infrastructure monitoring, particularly specializing in implementation and administration of LogicMonitor in enterprise settings.
• Advanced knowledge of Splunk including data onboarding, forwarder configuration, query creation, dashboard development, alert setup, and use of infrastructure-focused Splunk applications.
• Strong understanding of network, server, database, and cloud infrastructure concepts to craft meaningful and reliable monitoring metrics and alerts that accurately represent service health and user experience.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python to automate monitoring operations, integrate with external systems, and optimize routine tasks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability to interpret vast monitoring datasets and logs, identifying root causes and recommending effective corrective measures.
• Effective communication skills in both oral and written formats to coordinate with distributed teams, document procedures, and advocate best monitoring practices without direct authority.
• Adaptability to perform in a hybrid and rotational shift environment while maintaining exceptional service reliability, accountability, and meeting service-level objectives.

Preferred Certifications

Recognized credentials such as LogicMonitor Certified Professional and Splunk Certified Power User or Splunk Certified Administrator are advantageous for candidates.
