Role Overview

This position entails supporting the integration of new products into manufacturing by collaborating extensively with Teams in Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations. Key focus areas include Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA), development and validation of manufacturing processes, digital transformation projects, and continuous process enhancements. This role operates within Rockwell Automation's Common Product Development (CPD) framework and Agile/SAFe methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives from development stages through manufacturing readiness.
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to reinforce principles related to manufacturing design, assembly, cost-efficiency, and automation.
• Contribute to developing and updating Manufacturing Design Specifications, work instructions, process flows, and related documentation.
• Take part in design assessments, offering manufacturing perspectives during product development.
• Support prototype creation, engineering builds, pilot runs, and production validation phases.
• Identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and digitalization in manufacturing processes.
• Help plan manufacturing layouts, tooling needs, and process execution.
• Engage in Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and risk mitigation efforts.
• Collect and analyze manufacturing data to facilitate problem-solving and informed decision-making.
• Identify Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) criteria and verify manufacturing processes accordingly.
• Support initiatives aimed at cost reduction, producing gains, and Lean manufacturing practices.
• Create and maintain Agile/SAFe stories and manage progress using project management tools.
• Execute engineering and material-related transactions within ERP platforms like SAP.
• Work closely across functions to resolve product and manufacturing concerns during development and scale-up.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to two years of internship or practical experience relevant to the role.
• Academic or internship experience in areas such as manufacturing, automation, robotics, industrial engineering, or process enhancement is a plus.
