Role Summary

The Hygiene Skilled Operative will play an essential role within the Operations Team by performing thorough cleaning, sanitation, and hygiene activities aligned with food safety, quality, and production standards. This position requires strict adherence to hygiene protocols, accurate record-keeping, and maintaining due diligence to meet company and regulatory hygiene requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain impeccable hygiene and housekeeping standards with a 'clean-as-you-go' approach in production environments.
• Execute cleaning and sanitation tasks following food safety policies and safely use cleaning chemicals compliant with COSHH regulations.
• Complete all hygiene-related documentation precisely and timely.
• Adhere to hygiene schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to clean equipment and production zones preparing for upcoming production runs, especially during planned shutdowns.
• Assist in disassembling machinery for deep cleaning depending on skills and training.
• Support pest control measures and record task completion using the CMMS system.
• Operate under safe work systems by following health and safety guidelines and wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Champion safe working practices, contribute toward a zero-accident environment, and undertake additional duties supporting production and team success.

Candidate Profile

• Previous work experience within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector is preferred.
• Highly detail-oriented and conscientious approach to tasks.
• Effective communication skills to liaise confidently at various organizational levels.
• Strong time management skills to meet stringent deadlines.
• Physically capable of lifting and bending under machinery as required.
• Ability to make appropriate decisions independently or escalate where necessary.
• Possesses basic literacy and numeracy abilities along with fundamental computer skills.

Working Conditions

Shift: Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Location: Fletchers Bakeries Ltd, Sheffield

Compensation
