Position Overview
We are looking for a knowledgeable Human Resources Specialist to support our dynamic organization during a pivotal period marked by growth and transformation. This contract role, fully remote, offers a competitive pay of $50-60 per hour over a 3 to 4 month period starting August 3, 2026. You will collaborate closely with HR leadership and business managers to manage complex employee relations, enhance leadership support, guide talent and workforce management, and implement strategic HR projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with HR and business leaders on employee relations cases and improve management practices.
- Provide advice on employee performance, workplace issues, policy interpretation, record keeping, and communication.
- Facilitate performance management processes including coaching, developing plans, and documenting performance improvements.
- Handle sensitive employee situations with discretion, empathy, and professionalism to foster an inclusive workplace culture.
- Assist with talent management efforts, workforce planning, retention strategies, and strategic HR initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- Support organizational transitions via communication strategies, implementation efforts, and promoting employee engagement.
- Manage and carry out complex HR projects involving multiple stakeholders while monitoring progress and reporting on outcomes.
- Ensure accurate, organized, and compliant employee record-keeping and documentation.
- Support adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, collaborating with legal counsel when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion when processing sensitive information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience with substantial employee relations involvement.
- Proven ability to counsel managers on employee relations, performance management, and sensitive workplace concerns.
- Solid knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance standards.
- Experience in organizational change management, workforce planning, talent management, and employee retention is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to handle confidential matters with judgment and empathy.
- Competence in project management and multitasking under competing priorities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficient with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and electronic document management.
