The Healthcare Operations Data Analyst plays a vital role in advancing workflow and operational improvements through comprehensive data evaluation and statistical methods within healthcare settings. This position requires a thorough grasp of process optimization strategies and the application of data insights to enhance clinical and business outcomes.

Job Summary

This role involves employing sophisticated analytical techniques to support operational excellence initiatives. The analyst collaborates with administrative and clinical leaders at Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC) to identify and implement efficiency improvements that positively influence patient flow, cost reduction, and revenue generation. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collect, process, analyze, and interpret data to discover operational enhancement opportunities.
• Support performance improvement efforts across clinical and administrative operations.
• Utilize statistical analyses to recommend and validate workflow modifications.
• Work alongside Visualization and ETL developers to prepare and present complex data analyses sourced from EPIC systems.
• Communicate insights clearly to stakeholders to influence decision-making.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Finance, or a relevant discipline is required.
• Minimum of two years' experience in data analytics.

Skills and Competencies

• Advanced proficiency in one or more data analysis tools such as MS Excel, SAS, or Minitab.
• Expert knowledge of Tableau, SQL, and EPIC’s Cogito platform.
• Strong ability to interpret data and deliver functional insights.
• Effective collaboration skills with technical teams for data visualization and ETL tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Capable of multitasking, problem-solving, and working under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Basic troubleshooting of office equipment.
• Physical capacity for tasks requiring color discrimination, auditory perception for conversations and sounds, and visual acuity for reading screens and documents.
