Role Overview

Join Bluebird Care Ireland as a Healthcare Assistant providing compassionate community-based support in Enniscorthy and nearby regions. This position involves personalized care visits in clients' homes, with schedules adapted to your availability and a support system easily accessible by phone.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one personal care including bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance.
• Assist with preparing light meals and help with daily living routines.
• Offer companionship and emotional reassurance to clients.
• Support clients with safe mobility within their homes.
• Maintain consistent caregiving by attending to the same clients regularly at agreed times.

Working Hours and Flexibility

Care services operate seven days a week from 8 am to 8 pm, allowing flexible scheduling options:

• Part-time shifts from 5 to 10 hours weekly, suitable for students, family caregivers, or those with other jobs.
• Moderate commitment of 15 to 20 hours per week with stable schedules.
• Full-time availability up to 35 hours weekly.

Peak demand periods are mornings (8 am to 12 pm) and evenings (4 pm to 8 pm), but midday appointments are also available to accommodate preferences. Once a schedule is set, it remains fixed to ensure consistency.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage ranging from €14.15 to €16.00 based on qualifications and experience.
• Mileage reimbursement and travel time paid at 48 cents per mile between client visits.

Training Opportunity

If you possess caregiving experience but lack formal QQI certification, Bluebird Care facilitates subsidized training in Care Skills and Care of the Elderly, accompanied by ongoing support to attain these qualifications.
