Head of Operations

Role Overview

Duratuf Products Pvt. Ltd., operating from India and the UAE, provides electrical safety equipment to over 65 countries. The Head of Operations role, reporting to the CEO, is responsible for overseeing order processing from purchase to delivery across both entities. The selected candidate will take full ownership of operations within their first two months, managing a live multi-location setup and spearheading the team construction with full accountability for operational metrics.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure a combined customer On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery rate of at least 95% across the Bhiwadi and Dubai facilities, establishing baseline measurements within the first month.
• Manage complete outbound export shipping processes, including Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, and Letter of Credit or Telegraphic Transfer documentation.
• Oversee inbound logistics such as Bill of Entry management, customs clearance, Customs House Agent coordination, and handling inbound freight from overseas vendors.
• Monitor supplier delivery efficiency and manage landed costs along international sourcing routes.
• Drive inventory turnover to a minimum of five times per year while maintaining disciplined cash conversion cycles, collaborating closely with Finance.
• Maintain product batch quality rates of 98% or higher, ensuring no lapses in required safety certifications.
• Implement paired leading and lagging KPIs for each operational sub-function and personnel within 45 days, with ongoing monthly reviews and actions.
• Operate the department through established dashboards and ERP or Zoho-equivalent systems to ensure smooth workflow rather than manual follow-ups.
• Develop and mentor the Supply Chain Manager and Assistant Manager at Bhiwadi, aiming for full performance within their initial 90 days.
• Lead recruitment decisions for operational vacancies, including data-driven evaluations for procurement hires.

Candidate Profile and Experience

• Minimum of 10 years in operations leadership, including at least 5 years managing comprehensive supply chain, warehouse, and quality functions with direct oversight of 10+ team members and demonstrable success in OTIF or cost targets.
• Recent direct experience (within the last 3 years) managing both import and export operations with familiarity in specific trade lanes and ports.
• Proven track record handling multi-site and multi-country operations, preferably including India and an international location.
• Proficiency in ERP or Zoho-class system discipline with the ability to monitor KPIs and dashboards effectively.
• Strong focus on quality assurance and compliance, particularly in contexts requiring certification.
• Direct, hands-on involvement in end-to-end import and export processes, able to retrospectively trace shipment flows and troubleshoot clearance issues.
• Local presence in Kolkata or willingness to relocate, with a maximum notice period of 60 days.
