Role Purpose

As the Head of IT and Infrastructure, you will oversee the entire IT function at BullionStar, managing and developing the infrastructure that supports our business across multiple locations. This role requires both strategic leadership and hands-on technical involvement to secure and maintain systems that protect our clients' assets and ensure continuous business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement the IT strategy aligning with business goals while ensuring high standards of execution.
• Design, develop, maintain, and upgrade the IT infrastructure—including servers, systems, and networks—across various sites to guarantee scalability, reliability, and security.
• Manage all network aspects, from physical cabling and Wi-Fi setups to advanced architecture design and complex troubleshooting, including working with Ubiquiti devices.
• Lead IT security efforts encompassing endpoint protection, identity and access management, physical security hardware (such as CCTV), and systems safeguarding business and customer interests.
• Ensure compliance with data protection and regulatory standards relevant to precious metals businesses, while managing disaster recovery, backups, and business continuity planning.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a small IT team by setting expectations, removing obstacles, and maintaining high standards while actively participating in technical tasks.
• Engage in hands-on IT work including hardware provisioning, server installation, cabling, and resolving complex technical issues personally.
• Handle procurement, vendor and contract management, as well as budget planning for the entire IT operation.
• Plan and execute IT projects and rollouts, coordinating with third-party suppliers and technicians to meet established standards.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date IT asset register, tracking all equipment and infrastructure assets.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive practical experience in building and managing IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and systems.
• Proficient in advanced network design and troubleshooting across various platforms and devices, with familiarity using Ubiquiti technologies.
• Strong awareness and application of IT security principles, maintaining confidentiality and responsibly managing privileged access.
• Leadership style characterized by hands-on mentorship—leading by example and actively contributing to the team's technical work.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to connect technology initiatives to business objectives and execute them efficiently.
• Reliable and committed, with a preference for on-site presence to ensure operational continuity.
• Innovative thinker who proactively proposes improvements and rejects complacency.
• Eligible to work in Singapore and willing to undergo comprehensive background and security checks.
• Keen to leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance IT operations and introduce smarter workflows.

Additional Information

This senior position is not purely managerial: involvement in technical tasks is essential. Likewise, the role demands both strategy and execution—designing systems and personally building and maintaining them. The responsibility for security lies with this position, underscoring the importance of trustworthiness and diligence.

Compensation: Up to SGD 8,500 per month plus a performance-related bonus up to 3 months' salary
