About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned IT leader to shape and execute the organisation’s technology direction, run day-to-day IT operations, and drive digital change across the business. Reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, this position combines strategic oversight with practical delivery, covering both in-house and outsourced technology services.

The environment is highly regulated and tied to critical infrastructure, so experience working with government and regulatory stakeholders is a strong advantage. You will play a central part in balancing business goals, operational reliability, and technology modernisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and guide the IT strategy and technology roadmap so it supports broader business priorities.
• Oversee external IT service partners, with a focus on governance, performance, and service quality.
• Deliver infrastructure upgrades, digital transformation initiatives, and capital technology projects.
• Own the ServiceNow platform and ensure ITIL-based service management processes are working effectively.
• Manage field technicians and nationwide IT support activity.
• Lead work across cybersecurity, risk management, business continuity, and compliance.
• Handle IT budgets, suppliers, procurement activity, and technology agreements.
• Build and develop a high-performing IT function while maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.

Required Experience

• A degree in IT, Computer Science, or another relevant field.
• At least 8 years of IT experience, including more than 3 years in a senior leadership position.
• Background managing managed service providers and enterprise-scale IT operations.
• Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow, ITIL, and IT service management in a Windows-based environment.
• Demonstrated success in delivering infrastructure and digital transformation programmes.
• Well-developed leadership, commercial judgement, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Desirable

• ITIL certification.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and enterprise infrastructure.
• PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, or an equivalent project management qualification.

Salary and Benefits

The offered salary is €110,000, negotiable depending on experience. A comprehensive benefits package is included. This is a permanent role based in Kerry, with a hybrid working arrangement mentioned in the source.
