Job description
Position Overview
The Staatliche Feuerwehrschule Würzburg invites applications for a full-time, permanent housekeeper (Hausmeister) position aimed at reinforcing our on-site technical facilities team. This role requires a 40-hour workweek and immediate availability is preferred.
Key Duties
- General caretaking duties including minor repair and maintenance tasks.
- Maintenance and care of landscaping and greenery.
- Participation in alternating lock-up/shutdown services.
- Cleaning of paved areas including snow and ice removal during winter.
- Providing driving services as needed.
- Supporting the facility technicians in their duties.
- Coordination and supervision of external service providers.
- Taking part in the facility technical on-call rotation schedule.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in a skilled trade relevant to the caretaking role such as plumbing, masonry, electrical, painting, carpentry, tiling, flooring, roofing, or metalworking.
- Prior experience as a housekeeper and landscaping maintenance is advantageous.
- Full physical capability to handle lifting heavy loads and working in diverse, physically demanding positions.
- Preferably possessing a CE driving license, minimum requirement is class B.
- Willingness to attend additional professional development courses.
- Demonstrated commitment, teamwork skills, reliability, and ability to work independently.
