About the Role
The Guest Experience Supervisor will be based at Shura Island, The Red Sea, Saudi Arabia, working full-time in a non-management position. This role focuses on managing guest check-ins, verifying identity and payment methods, room allocation, and key distribution. The supervisor is responsible for setting up guest accounts according to their requirements and entering information into the Marriott Rewards program. They ensure that pricing aligns with market rates and document any exceptions.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all guest arrivals, verify identification and payment, assign rooms, and distribute and activate room keys.
- Establish guest accounts on arrival in accordance with their requests.
- Enter data for loyalty program participation.
- Confirm that rates comply with market prices and record any anomalies.
- Receive payment before handing over room keys, verify and adjust billing as needed.
- Compile and verify daily reports including cash registers, closing reports, occupancy lists, and journal logs.
- Address guest enquiries professionally, directing requests to the appropriate personnel and ensuring follow-up for resolution.
- Manage all types of payments, vouchers, refunds, and charges; balance and deposit receipts.
- Conduct cash counts at shift start and end, obtain manual authorizations, and comply with accounting procedures.
- Report any theft incidents promptly to the security department.
- Assist management with staff training, evaluation, motivation, and support, acting as a role model adhering to policies like the Guarantee of Fair Treatment and Open Door Policy.
- Foster a positive and cooperative work environment, listening to and addressing employee concerns appropriately.
- Follow all hotel chain policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; maintain certifications on safety protocols.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance and ensure confidentiality of hotel information.
- Protect all company assets.
- Welcome guests warmly, anticipate their needs, assist guests with reduced mobility, and provide courteous service.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in person and on the phone, prepare and verify accurate documents.
- Operate computer systems and point-of-sale systems to process information.
- Be physically capable of standing, sitting, and moving for extended periods and manually handle up to 4.5 kg loads.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors that fall within the scope of the role.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of relevant work experience.
- Minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
- No specific licenses or certifications required.
