General Technician

Role Overview

The General Technician will be accountable for overseeing maintenance and operational needs within the facility to ensure a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment. This includes budgeting, coordinating repairs, monitoring upkeep, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies, and supervising contractors as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a budget for varied facility requirements and operational expenses.
• Oversee or outsource necessary maintenance and repair activities to ensure facility functionality.
• Monitor ongoing upkeep and plan for both immediate and future facility improvements.
• Maintain landscaping and proper care of surrounding grounds.
• Prepare management reports related to facility conditions and maintenance activities.
• Research, implement, and maintain security protocols, including surveillance systems.
• React promptly to emergencies or urgent facility-related incidents.
• Enforce health and safety regulations across the facility to maintain compliance.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and equitable workplace environment for all personnel.
• Conduct routine walkthroughs to visually inspect the facility for maintenance, security, and employee conduct issues.
• Manage all access keys for doors within the facility with responsibility.
• Document and report any accidents, injuries, or emergency events promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and order throughout the facility.
• Supervise construction personnel and contractors as required during projects.
• Perform additional duties related to facility management as assigned.
