Role Summary

McKeon Group is looking for a General Operative to join the team and help uphold the company's standards in planning, communication, and project delivery, with a strong focus on safety, sustainability, and quality. This is a junior-level position reporting to Project or Site Managers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Handling and moving materials between warehouses and sites.
• Arranging and receiving deliveries, then transporting goods to various locations.
• Transferring materials, machinery, and equipment between construction sites.
• Utilizing power tools and plant equipment as needed.
• Performing manual labor tasks following instructions from Site Managers.
• Assisting with site setup activities such as erecting heras fencing and site offices.
• Constructing temporary structures including mobile towers.
• Undertaking both general and specialized labor duties on site.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organizational standards for site housekeeping.
• Additional responsibilities such as opening/closing sites, managing site access logs, coordinating deliveries, and performing site administrative work as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• At least three years of experience working on construction sites.
• Physical capability to perform labor-intensive tasks such as lifting, transporting, and cleaning.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and proficiency in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Attributes including honesty, flexibility, efficiency, and self-motivation.
• Possession of a full clean driver's license is mandatory.
• Current Safe Pass certification is mandatory.
• Manual Handling training is preferred.
• Abrasive Wheels training is advantageous.
• Completion of CSCS Mobile Access Tower Scaffold training would be beneficial.
