Full Time Kitchen Porter

Position Overview

We are currently seeking dedicated full-time kitchen porters to join our team in Dublin. This role involves a variety of essential kitchen support duties that keep operations running smoothly and meet health and safety standards.

Core Duties

• Operate commercial dishwashers and hand wash delicate items such as copper pans and chef knives, while maintaining a steady supply of clean dishes, utensils, and glassware for front-of-house staff.
• Engage in pot washing by cleaning heavy kitchen equipment, including pots, pans, and baking trays; this task often involves rigorous scrubbing to remove burnt food residues.
• Perform deep cleaning of kitchen surfaces, walls, extraction hoods, and floors, including regular mopping, sanitizing workstations, and comprehensive cleaning of equipment at shift end.
• Handle waste management by emptying kitchen bins frequently, sorting recyclables, and disposing food waste and grease responsibly following health and safety guidelines.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling potatoes, washing vegetables, and chopping onions.
• Manage deliveries by unloading trucks, checking inventory against orders, and organizing stock in refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage areas using the FIFO method.
