We are seeking a motivated Frontend Web Developer to join our small, dynamic team in Passau on a full-time or part-time basis, working primarily in a hybrid setup. You will be responsible for creating websites and online shops for well-known regional brands and companies. Role Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain websites and e-commerce stores with a focus on frontend development using clean, maintainable code.
• Implement web projects utilizing HTML5, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Work with content management systems such as WordPress, Contao, Shopware, and Shopify.
• Update and improve existing web projects to maintain performance and relevance.
• Communicate directly with clients via email, phone, and occasional meetings.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in web development.
• Take ownership of your tasks while benefiting from team support.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in frontend development through prior employment, apprenticeships, internships, or a strong portfolio.
• Solid understanding of HTML5 and CSS/SCSS.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript and PHP is essential, though mastery is not mandatory.
• Reliable and meticulous work habits.
• Strong willingness to learn and grow professionally.
• Fluent German language skills in both speaking and writing.

Preferred:

• Experience with version control using Git, including branching, committing, and pull requests.
• Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress, Contao, or Shopware.
• Previous experience working in an agency environment.
• Personal projects or public code repositories on platforms like GitHub or CodePen.
• Basic understanding of web performance optimization, including load times and image optimization.

Bonus Skills:

• Interest in AI-based developer tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
• Experience with Docker or the Symfony framework.
• Knowledge of Node.js or modern build tools.
