Program Details
- Duration: September 14 to November 21, 2026
- Schedule: 21 hours weekly throughout the internship
- Compensation: Paid position at $17/hour, with a higher rate of $20/hour for interns located in CT, MA, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, or Washington D.C.

Role Overview
The Data Team at Sourcebooks seeks a meticulous and curious individual to transform publishing data into actionable insights. Assignment tasks vary by season and may involve report creation, data analysis, dashboard development, or working on data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards utilized company-wide
- Analyze performance data related to sales, marketing, and book titles to assist business strategy
- Organize, clean, and document data for accuracy and usability
- Participate in special projects and ad-hoc data analyses as needed during the fall
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to understand data needs and provide precise answers
- Perform general administrative duties supporting the team
Candidate Profile
- Interest or academic courses in business analysis, data analytics, data science, or data engineering
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets and various data tools; familiarity with SQL, Python, or Power BI is advantageous but not mandatory
- High attention to detail and organized approach to work
- Proactive mindset and adaptability to changing priorities
- Passion for books and the publishing industry
Eligibility and Requirements
- Current college student (sophomore, junior, senior) or recent graduate
- Commitment to 21 hours per week for the entire internship period (September 14 to November 21, 2026)
- Residency required in one of these states: Arizona, Connecticut, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington D.C., or Wisconsin
