Job description
Job Overview
We invite experienced pilots to express interest in joining Air New Zealand as First Officers on our turboprop fleet, operating ATR and Dash 8 Q300 aircraft. This role offers significant responsibility in the cockpit while providing opportunities for career advancement either within turboprop operations or as a pathway to the jet fleet. Positions are available at multiple bases nationwide.
Candidate Requirements
- Current NZCAA CPL or ATPL license, with preference for NZCAA ATPL or completion of all ATPL subjects
- Valid NZCAA Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR)
- Instrument Rating issued by NZCAA or CASA
- NZCAA Class 1 Medical Certificate
- At least 500 total flight hours logged
- Minimum of 25 hours of night flying experience
- At least 40 hours of instrument flight time
- Endorsements for NZCAA BTK and BGT
- Proficient in English at Level 6 or above
- Must be a New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, resident, or Australian citizen with valid travel documentation and visas as required
