Executive Director, Operations

Position Summary

The Executive Director of Operations leads the development and execution of the company’s operational strategies, overseeing daily business functions, process management, project delivery, resource utilization, and continuous improvement efforts. This role ensures the implementation of streamlined, standardized, and sustainable operations that support growth and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and enforce the company's operational strategy and annual planning aligned with overall corporate goals.
• Create and manage operational policies, procedures, and governance standards.
• Drive goal-setting, execution tracking, and continuous optimization of operational models.
• Take full accountability for daily operational activities and business unit performance toward targets.
• Improve productivity and operational effectiveness through optimal resource allocation.
• Facilitate regular operational reviews and reinforce performance improvement practices.
• Lead the management and successful completion of key projects ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality.
• Coordinate resources across departments for major project implementation.
• Develop systems for project management and delivery oversight.
• Champion process improvements, lean management initiatives, and operational excellence.
• Set and monitor performance metrics, advancing automation and digital operations.
• Manage budgets and resource plans covering personnel, equipment, finance, and technology to maximize efficiency and ROI.
• Control costs aiming for reductions and operational improvements.
• Implement risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive quality management and continuous enhancement of service delivery.
• Establish business continuity and emergency preparedness protocols.
• Partner with departments such as Sales, Marketing, Product, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, and HR to enhance collaboration and resource integration.
• Support corporate strategic initiatives through effective cross-functional teamwork.
• Build, lead, and develop the operations management team, fostering talent and leadership capabilities.
• Institute performance reviews, training programs, and succession planning.
• Promote a culture centered on high performance, ongoing improvement, and customer focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Management, Operations Management, Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related fields preferred.
• MBA or relevant Master's degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in operations, project, or business management roles.
• At least 5 years in senior management positions.
• Background in operations within large companies, multinational corporations, or rapidly growing enterprises.
• Proficiency with corporate operational frameworks, process optimization, and performance tracking.
• Experience in international operations is beneficial.
