ജോലി വിവരണം
Company Overview
Beacon Therapeutics is a dynamic, multinational organization dedicated to advancing gene therapy to improve patient outcomes. Our team operates across the United States and the United Kingdom, including remote contributors, all united by a shared mission to deliver innovative treatments. Each team member plays an essential role, and every voice contributes to our success.
Role Overview
The Executive Director, Technical Operations & Supply Chain, will play a pivotal role in enhancing Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) execution for late-stage gene therapy projects. The position focuses especially on managing market-facing supply chain functions including third-party logistics (3PL) and fourth-party logistics (4PL), ensuring all CMC program activities are completed on schedule, solving issues efficiently, and keeping all stakeholders—both internal and external—in alignment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the identification, selection, and development of 3PL and 4PL partners to establish a reliable commercial supply chain for the primary product.
- Manage critical external partnerships at a senior level across analytics, drug substance (DS), and drug product (DP) manufacturing.
- Create and uphold CMC guidelines and decision-making frameworks, supporting senior CMC leaders and area leads to resolve program issues effectively.
- Maintain proactive communication on progress against plans with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Provide cross-functional technical oversight covering viral vector production, analytical processes, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and supply chain management.
- Assist with late-stage regulatory submissions and ensure launch readiness by converting strategy into operational CMC plans.
- Address complex technical and organizational obstacles through clear and persuasive communication.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary late-stage submission and launch processes in biopharmaceuticals, preferably within gene therapy, with a focus on supply chain operations.
- Strong understanding of CMC principles, including critical quality attributes (CQAs) and critical process parameters (CPPs), coupled with a strategic mindset for program optimization.
- Proven success influencing senior-level, multinational stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience establishing 3PL and 4PL supply chains specific to biopharmaceuticals, combined with a deep knowledge of technical fundamentals (CQAs, CPPs) and senior-level stakeholder management abilities.
- A readiness to expand CMC leadership responsibilities towards enterprise-level ownership is highly encouraged.
Daily Workflow and Environment
The role involves balancing focused technical work, program health evaluations, and high-level engagements with internal teams and external partners, such as CDMOs, packaging, and logistics providers. The candidate will remain vigilant for potential risks and ensure program timelines are met without disruption. They will facilitate rapid problem-solving meetings, clarify decision-making pathways, and communicate effectively to executive stakeholders. Working fully remotely on Eastern Time (Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm), the role demands a combination of deep technical acumen and pragmatic delivery capabilities.
Compensation and Benefits
Beacon Therapeutics offers a comprehensive benefits package to promote long-term health and financial security. This includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) retirement plans; life insurance; health savings accounts (HSA); flexible spending accounts (FSA); employer-paid short-term and long-term disability coverage; paid time off; and employee discounts. The position provides a competitive salary ranging from $240,000 to $275,000 per year.
