Position Overview

We are seeking an Evening Cleaner/Porter to join our team at the Valley Fair Mall in Maple Ridge. Reporting to the Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order in the facility, ensuring a hygienic environment, managing tools and equipment securely, and completing assigned tasks effectively. The shift runs from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Thursday through Monday.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean common areas and washrooms thoroughly
• Collect and transport waste material appropriately
• Perform sweeping, mopping, and carpet vacuuming
• Carry out high dusting in common spaces
• Clean windows to maintain clear visibility
• Operate floor cleaning machines such as auto scrubbers and carpet extractors
• Conduct snow removal and apply ice melt for safety

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess a positive and proactive attitude
• At least one year of cleaning experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and the public
• Capable of lifting items up to 25 pounds
• Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety Act and Workplace Hazardous Materials
• Successful completion of a clear criminal background check
