Role Overview

The business is looking for a seasoned Estimator with 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in construction cost estimation and tender preparation. This person will create precise cost forecasts, assess project scope and requirements, work closely with internal departments and subcontractors, and contribute to the tender process to help secure commercially sound and competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities

  • Study tender packs, drawings, specifications, and contract terms to define the full project scope.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents for construction assignments.
  • Carry out quantity take-offs and cost comparisons using project details and current market pricing.
  • Request and review pricing from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Spot project risks, opportunities to reduce cost, and value engineering options.
  • Work with design, procurement, planning, and project teams throughout the bidding phase.
