Role Overview

We are seeking skilled Estimators or Blueprint Analysts to contribute to the development of the next-generation blueprint quantification services.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze architectural, civil, landscape, MEP, and general construction plans.
• Accurately perform quantity takeoffs and create Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Measure dimensions including areas, lengths, counts, and volumes from blueprints.
• Interpret project details and define measurement needs accordingly.
• Deliver clear and well-structured quantity reports to clients.
• Partner with the product team to enhance Ottermap’s blueprint takeoff software.
• Ensure precision and timeliness in task completion.

Requirements

• At least 2 years’ experience in blueprint takeoffs, quantity surveying, estimation, or BOQ preparation.
• Proficient understanding of construction drawings and interpreting blueprints.
• Knowledge of US construction standards and measurement methodologies.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
• Effective written communication skills.
• Familiarity with industry tools such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, STACK, On-Screen Takeoff, AutoCAD, QGIS, or equivalents is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous involvement with US-based construction projects.
• Experience across trades such as Landscape, Site Development, Civil Engineering, Concrete, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Roofing.
• Educational background in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering is favored.
