Role Overview

CGI is looking for an Embedded C++ Developer in Bangalore for a full-time position. This role calls for 4+ years of hands-on experience in embedded software engineering, with a strong focus on C++, Linux-based embedded environments, and reliable product development for embedded platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, test, improve, and support embedded software solutions written in C++.
• Create software for embedded Linux or RTOS-based platforms.
• Study system needs and convert them into dependable software designs.
• Work on device drivers, middleware layers, and application-level modules for embedded systems.
• Improve software speed, memory efficiency, and overall system stability.
• Use debugging and profiling tools to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Connect embedded software with hardware parts and peripherals.
• Work closely with hardware engineers, QA teams, and product stakeholders across the development cycle.
• Take part in code reviews and follow established coding standards and engineering practices.
• Document technical designs, specifications, and test outcomes.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 4 years of experience in embedded software development.
• Strong command of C++ programming.
• Working knowledge of Embedded C.
• Experience with Embedded Linux and/or RTOS platforms such as FreeRTOS, VxWorks, or QNX.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.

Education

A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a closely related discipline is preferred.

Salary

The role offers an annual compensation range of INR 10,00,000 to INR 20,00,000.
