Job Overview

The Elementary School Bilingual Permanent Substitute Instructional Assistant role involves stepping in to cover for regular Instructional Assistant absences at the elementary level. This position requires full-time, on-campus commitment throughout the academic year with a one-year contract duration. The substitute assistant will primarily support elementary classrooms but must remain flexible to assist with various other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for absent Instructional Assistants within the elementary school.
• Carry out duties aligned with the general expectations for Instructional Assistants in elementary education settings.
• Maintain presence on campus during all school workdays and fulfill the full-time substitute role.
• Adapt to additional assignments or responsibilities beyond classroom substitution as necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be a Singaporean citizen, Permanent Resident, or holding a valid Dependent Pass.
• Possess GCE 'O' Level certification with at least five passes including a credit in English.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin, with capabilities in verbal communication, reading, writing, and typing in both languages.
• Comfortable working in diverse environments with colleagues from various backgrounds.
• Exhibit a positive work attitude, initiative, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Competent in technology applications relevant to the job such as Google Suite, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint, with willingness to learn new digital tools.

Additional Information

This is a full-time substitute role paid at a rate of $120 per day, requiring commitment during school days on campus.
