Draftsman

Role Overview

The Draftsman will produce precise engineering drawings and drafting records for Drainage and Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE) infrastructure works, following Ashghal requirements. This position supports both design and construction activities by delivering detailed drawings, updates, and Traffic Diversion Plans (TDPs) that meet project specifications and regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings for Drainage and TSE infrastructure projects using AutoCAD and related drafting tools.
• Prepare, modify, and maintain construction drawings, as-built drawings, and shop drawings as per project needs.
• Develop Traffic Diversion Plan (TDP) drawings in line with Ashghal standards and project requirements.
• Liaise with engineers, project teams, and site staff to reflect design changes and technical updates.
• Verify that all drawings align with Ashghal standards, project specifications, and relevant engineering codes.
• Keep drawing logs, revision histories, and technical records up to date throughout the project.
• Check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before they are issued.
• Provide prompt drafting revisions and help resolve drawing-related issues to support project delivery.
• Join coordination meetings when needed and assist with drafting support during execution.
• Carry out additional tasks assigned by the Project Engineer or Project Manager.

Requirements

• Diploma or technical certification in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a closely related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience on Ashghal Drainage and TSE projects.
• Background in producing engineering drawings for drainage, sewerage, and utility infrastructure works.
• Experience with Traffic Diversion Plan (TDP) drawings is highly desirable.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and other drafting software used in engineering documentation.
• Solid understanding of Ashghal standards, drainage layouts, utility corridors, and technical drawing conventions.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and design documents.
• High attention to detail, with strong drafting and documentation capability.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.

Additional Information

This role requires immediate joining. The engagement duration is 1 to 2 months.
