District Manager - Taranaki

About the Role

This is an exceptional leadership opportunity to shape the future of primary healthcare in the Taranaki region. As District Manager, you will have the autonomy to steer regional primary healthcare initiatives, cultivate impactful partnerships, and ultimately improve health outcomes for the people of Taranaki.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide both strategic and operational leadership for primary healthcare activities across Taranaki.
• Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team passionate about improving community health.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with general practices, GP leaders, iwi, Hauora Māori providers, Health New Zealand, community organizations, and Pinnacle Health colleagues.
• Enhance and support a network of general practices by understanding their challenges and opportunities.
• Collaborate with practices to develop sustainable care models that contribute to better health outcomes.
• Empower practice leaders to manage change, adopt innovations, and succeed through coaching and advocacy.
• Engage at multiple levels, including boardrooms, community discussions, and hands-on practice support.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a strong commitment to primary healthcare and building effective relationships. While a clinical background is preferable, candidates with equivalent experience in health sector leadership are encouraged to apply. Qualities sought include:
