Job description

Position Overview

Join our pharmacy team as a Dispenser to assist pharmacists and healthcare professionals in delivering pharmacy and healthcare services safely and effectively. You'll play a vital role in providing excellent patient care by dispensing prescriptions, advising on medication, and fostering patient relationships within the store.

Key Duties

  • Dispense prescriptions accurately and safely, including ordering, labeling, endorsing, and collecting medicines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to manage and execute pharmacy services.
  • Offer medication-related advice to patients and refer complex queries to the Pharmacist.
  • Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures for legal and safe medicine dispensing.
  • Stay updated on new store technologies and operational protocols.
  • Assist patients in managing their prescriptions and encourage adherence to medication regimens to minimize waste.
  • Engage with evolving dispensing technologies to improve patient safety and allocate more time for patient interactions.

Qualifications and Eligibility

  • Completed Pharmacy Advisor NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, or have completed the first year of an MPharm degree.
  • Right to work and reside in the UK with no sponsorship eligibility for Skilled Worker Visa.
  • Community pharmacy experience is highly advantageous.

Remuneration

The role offers an hourly pay starting at £13.92, with potential to reach £16.64 depending on location.
