About the Role
Weyerhaeuser's Wood Products Sales, Marketing & Supply Chain division is searching for an experienced commercial leader to head the National Accounts sales team. This team manages relationships and drives growth with major builders, dealers, buying groups, and retail customers, covering Weyerhaeuser’s comprehensive product and service portfolio. The position reports to the VP of Wood Products Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain and operates remotely, preferably from a major metropolitan area such as Dallas or Atlanta within the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
The Director of National Accounts will oversee National Account Managers who act as trusted advisors for the largest company customers. This leadership role involves coordinating resources and personnel to develop, negotiate, and implement effective customer programs and strategies. The team represents engineered wood, lumber, panel products, and distribution services as a unified voice, aligning company objectives with client needs and ensuring the deployment of appropriate experts to secure business wins.
This role is responsible for customer satisfaction and commercial performance across primary accounts. By nurturing a disciplined National Accounts team and engaging directly at the executive customer level, the Director supports securing and expanding lasting strategic partnerships that generate measurable value for both clients and Weyerhaeuser. Daily duties include reviewing financial programs, preparing and coaching on Requests for Quotations (RFQs), resolving client issues, and providing negotiation support. Additionally, the role requires offering internal feedback, securing approvals, and representing customer interests to senior leadership.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years’ leadership experience in wood products or building material sales.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a focus in marketing, business, construction, engineering, or related disciplines.
- Expertise in consultative, large-account sales, with a strong history of identifying client needs, crafting solutions, and enhancing commercial results.
- Comprehensive knowledge of residential construction and building materials markets.
- Proficiency with rebate programs, CRM systems, financial modeling, and sales processes tailored to large strategic accounts.
- Proven capability in complex negotiations that achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Self-motivated, decisive, accountable, and innovative, with a talent for moving teams from strategic concepts to practical execution.
- Committed to talent development, raising performance standards, and building high-impact teams.
- Skilled at cultivating executive-level relationships through collaborative efforts.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
Preferred Education
- MBA with a focus in marketing, business, or a related field is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
The role targets a salary range of $159,900 to $240,000, depending on experience and qualifications, complemented by an Annual Incentive Program with potential bonus earnings up to twice the target 25% base pay.
