The lead candidate, zorevunersen, aimed at treating Dravet syndrome, is currently in Phase 3 trials. Stoke initially targets diseases of the central nervous system and eye caused by haploinsufficiency. The company is headquartered in Bedford, Massachusetts.

Position Overview

The Director of Corporate Strategy will collaborate extensively with company leaders to steer enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, governance, and organizational planning. Reporting to the VP of Corporate Strategy and Chief of Staff, this role demands a seasoned biotech/pharma strategist with exceptional communication, organizational, and multi-stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as strategic advisor and operational support to the VP of Corporate Strategy and Chief of Staff.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to guide annual strategic planning processes.
• Lead corporate and departmental goal-setting, translating strategies into measurable objectives and tracking progress throughout the year.
• Oversee Board meeting logistics including agenda preparation, materials, documentation, and follow-ups.
• Create executive-level presentation materials for Board and leadership meetings.
• Enhance governance frameworks, operational models, and decision-making processes continuously.
• Lead critical cross-functional strategic projects using data-driven analyses to solve complex challenges and drive implementation.
• Manage tracking of executive action items to ensure alignment and timely execution.
• Build strong relationships with senior leaders, serving as an organizational connector.
• Promote a culture emphasizing collaboration, accountability, and patient focus.

Required Experience and Skills

• Over 10 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, or corporate strategy roles.
• Bachelor's degree required; a Master's degree in business is preferred.
• Strong background in strategy consulting or corporate strategy functions.
• Deep familiarity with the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries and drug development processes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster trustworthy partnerships across departments.
• High attention to detail with strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Proficient in financial analysis, problem-solving, and managing complex priorities.
• Self-driven with the ability to multitask, manage ambiguity, work under pressure, and operate independently.

Additional Information

The role is currently based in Bedford, MA, transitioning to a new Waltham, MA location by end of 2026. It is primarily on-site with hybrid flexibility. Travel requirements are approximately 5% of the time.

Compensation and Benefits: The expected salary range is $229,000 to $246,000 annually, supplemented by annual bonuses and equity options.
