Role Summary

The Digital Accounting Specialist will oversee and execute digital general ledger operations, including reconciliation, money movements, and exception management for Nymbus's digital clients. Acting as a key contact and expert on general ledger issues, this role ensures accuracy, adherence to compliance standards, and prompt resolution of discrepancies while delivering excellent internal and external customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver exemplary customer service to both internal teams and digital clients.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Nymbus’s product suite.
Conduct thorough reconciliation activities encompassing loans, deposits, and accrued interest.
Perform general ledger functions and rectify reconciliation exceptions.
Execute federal reserve reconciliation processes and resolve mapping inconsistencies.
Support the setup and ongoing management of client charts of accounts, managing new general ledger initiatives.
Calculate and adjust interest as required and perform associated money movements.
Conduct research and provide support on reconciliation matters.
Proactively suggest and implement improvements to enhance current operational procedures.
Manage and resolve all digital operations tickets in accordance with established engagement rules.
Carry out additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferably over 4 years of related industry experience.
Experience with accounting in banking or credit union environments is essential.
Solid understanding and hands-on experience with general ledger operations; mapping experience is preferred.
Familiarity with federal reserve reconciliation is advantageous.
Knowledge of banking compliance regulations and their application preferred.
Proven leadership and motivation capabilities.
Strong proficiency with operational support technologies and software, including MS Office suite and email clients.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with public presentation abilities.
Detail-driven with strong analytical thinking and time management skills.
Skilled at working under deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively.

Work Environment and Schedule

This is a remote-first position primarily operating within Eastern Standard Time hours (9:00 am - 6:00 pm EST). Candidates located in Eastern or Central time zones are preferred. Occasional travel may be necessary for client visits, team meetings, or company events.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly wage of $28.00
