About the Role and Company

Amber Petroleum Ltd, part of the Greenergy Group, is currently seeking a dedicated Deli Supervisor to join their team in Ballyhooly, County Cork. The Greenergy Group is an established international supplier of road fuels and a leader in waste-based renewable energy manufacturing. Inver Energy supplies fuel products across Ireland through multiple service stations and convenience stores under Inver and Amber brands, prioritizing customer satisfaction, competitive pricing, and community support.

Job Overview

This permanent, full-time position involves overseeing the daily deli operations, maintaining exceptional customer service standards, and managing a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings and evenings, is required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety protocols, maintaining all relevant records accurately.
• Manage stock and waste control for all deli products.
• Innovate and suggest strategies to enhance sales and departmental standards.
• Supervise daily deli activities and staff to boost sales performance.
• Oversee employee duties such as cooking, serving, packaging, and counter operation.
• Manage product storage, rotation, and maintenance to prevent spoilage or damage.
• Ensure accurate pricing and date labeling of products.
• Handle customer inquiries with professionalism and high standards.
• Promote a culture of excellent customer service and teamwork within the deli.
• Perform administrative tasks, including back office duties.
• Assist in preparing inventory reports and sales budgets.
• Provide training for staff on company policies and sales practices.

Skills and Experience Requirements

• Proven experience as a Deli Assistant or similar role.
• Strong background in customer service.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Capable of working effectively within a team environment.
