Data Analyst (Entry / Junior)

About the Role

The Data Analyst position at an entry or junior level involves supporting the team through detailed examination of founder search data and platform usage statistics to derive meaningful, actionable conclusions. This part-time, hybrid position based in Sydney, NSW allows some flexibility with remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and organize datasets to ensure data integrity.
• Conduct foundational statistical analysis on user and founder behaviors.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that inform decisions on products and content prioritization.
• Identify behavioral patterns among founders and assist with data modeling efforts.
• Validate assumptions regarding user needs through data analysis.
• Work collaboratively with product teams and content creators to translate insights into enhancements of tools, resources, and expert content.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong analytical capability to interpret data trends effectively supporting evidence-based decisions.
• Proficiency in core data analytics tasks such as data cleaning and visualization using common tools like Excel or Google Sheets, as well as basic business intelligence platforms.
• Knowledge of basic statistical concepts including distributions, correlations, and measures of significance.
• Ability to communicate complex data findings clearly and simply to non-technical audiences through written summaries and visualizations.
• Introductory skills in data modeling for structuring data and supporting reporting and dashboard creation.
• Educational background in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Business, Computer Science, or similar disciplines.
• Beneficial experience includes familiarity with startups, interest in innovation ecosystems, and experience with tools such as SQL, Python/R, or BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio.
• Capacity to work effectively in a hybrid setting, manage time well in a part-time role, and demonstrate a curiosity about enhancing founder experiences.
