Job description
Overview
This role entails leading the global Cybersecurity program for the APAC region by managing a portfolio of cyber-related projects. The Project Manager works with various cross-functional teams to ensure timely and budget-compliant execution of initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses substantial experience in IT security program management within multinational corporations, complemented by strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of cybersecurity projects including initiation, validation, execution, and transition phases in collaboration with the Global PMO.
- Provide updates on global project status, risks, and priorities throughout each phase.
- Coordinate resources from multiple teams including local and regional IT and Security units to deliver projects on schedule and budget.
- Support global steering committees by gathering and communicating regional information on project risks and progress.
- Prepare and deliver strategic progress reports to the APAC ITP Executive Committee and other management bodies.
- Manage resource and financial planning, including recruitment and onboarding assigned to the projects.
- Collaborate with APAC ITP and local leads to identify performance gaps, recommend improvements, and track enhancement initiatives.
- Assist department efforts such as budget management and deployment of tools.
Technical and Behavioral Competencies
- Strong experience managing broad programs that involve multiple regional stakeholders.
- Solid understanding or practical experience in cybersecurity operations.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with incorporating AI or machine learning techniques into cybersecurity tasks is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Proficient in coordinating cross-domain teams with varying priorities.
- Skilled in synthesizing complex challenges to enable decision-making.
- Experienced in financial planning related to projects.
- Adept at recognizing risks, identifying gaps, and leveraging data to provide insightful recommendations.
- Capable of thriving under tight deadlines and dynamic environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Over 8 years of experience executing security-centric projects within multinational corporations, especially in banking, consulting, or technology sectors.
- Certification such as PMP or equivalent is required; certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CISA are advantageous.
- Fluent in English both written and oral; knowledge of French and Chinese is a plus.
