Culinary Associate

Overview

The Los Angeles Dodgers are seeking a Culinary Associate to join the Player Performance department. This role involves supporting kitchen operations by washing and storing kitchenware, preparing basic food items, and assisting the culinary team under the guidance of the Manager of Performance Nutrition or Head Performance Chef.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashers and pot sinks to clean and store pots, pans, utensils, and dishware.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock levels of coolers, refrigerators, snacks, coffee machines, and front dining areas.
• Organize and clean refrigerators and dry goods shelves, ensuring proper labeling, dating, and FIFO rotation of food items.
• Perform side duties such as breaking down boxes, removing trash, receiving and storing paper and food deliveries, and managing beverage and snack inventory.
• Conduct daily cleaning tasks including sinks, drains, shelving, trash bins, floors, freezers, refrigerators, and the dining lounge.
• Prepare meats and vegetables by washing, seasoning, and slicing using meat slicers and knives safely.
• Adhere to food safety standards for handling, preparation, and storage of all food products.
• Maintain a sanitary work environment in line with state and federal health regulations.
• Communicate any sanitation or janitorial concerns to the culinary team.
• Use kitchen equipment properly as per standard procedures, including mixers, induction burners, and dishwashers.
• Monitor cleaning supply inventory levels and assist in culinary production when needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience in dishwashing or basic food handling is advantageous.
• Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.
• Effective time management, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Physical capability to walk, kneel, bend, reach overhead, stand for long durations, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Proficiency in reading and speaking English.
• Flexibility to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have reliable personal transportation.
