Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Crewing Executive to join a vibrant maritime organisation. This role is ideal for individuals aiming to enhance their skills in managing crew operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting the seamless running of vessels through effective crew management within an international maritime context.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage crew rotation schedules and manning plans to ensure smooth vessel operations in compliance with contract obligations.
- Source, assess, and onboard qualified seafarers to fulfill fleet staffing requirements.
- Develop and maintain a robust talent pool of officers and ratings for future assignments.
- Monitor validity of certificates, licenses, and travel documents to comply with STCW and MLC 2006 standards.
- Coordinate travel logistics including flights, lodging, and transfers to facilitate efficient crew changeovers.
- Serve as the primary liaison for seafarers, addressing welfare issues and workplace concerns with sensitivity.
- Prepare crewing reports, manpower forecasts, and relevant statistics using Microsoft Excel to aid decision-making.
- Manage crew contracts, input payroll data, and verify entitlements collaborating with appropriate departments.
- Promote a safety-first culture by reporting incidents and non-compliance following HSSEQ guidelines.
- Ensure protection of crew personal data adhering to privacy regulations and assist in audits using crew management software.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping Management, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- Approximately 2 to 3 years of experience in crewing or maritime administrative roles.
- Comprehensive understanding of international maritime regulations including STCW, MLC 2006, and Minimum Safe Manning levels.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with crew management software.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills with capability to manage confidential information appropriately.
Compensation
The monthly salary ranges between SGD 4500 and SGD 5000.
