Creeler

Overview

The Creeler is tasked with preparing and sustaining creels to guarantee a continuous fiber supply to tufting machines, supporting the turf production process efficiently and with quality. This role includes handling fiber pallets, replacing empty bobbins promptly, inspecting fiber quality, and working closely with tufting operators to resolve yarn-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up bobbins of fiber on creels, ensuring proper alignment to feed tufting machines accurately.
• Continuously monitor fiber levels during production and replace bobbins swiftly to reduce machine downtime.
• Check fiber quality rigorously, removing any defective materials before use.
• Assist tufting operators by addressing yarn concerns during production runs.
• Coordinate with production teams to confirm appropriate fiber types, colors, and quantities are deployed for each job.
• Keep the creeling area tidy and organized, adhering strictly to company safety protocols, policies, and industry standards for a secure and efficient workplace.

Physical and Work Conditions

• Must be capable of lifting objects weighing approximately 10 pounds and standing for long durations.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong attention to detail with fiber handling and set up procedures.
• Effective team player with clear communication skills for interaction with machine operators and supervisors.
• Prior manufacturing experience is advantageous; familiarity with creels or tufting machines preferred but not mandatory.
