Creative Producer

About the Role

Insomnia Visuals is seeking a seasoned Creative Producer based in Los Angeles, CA, to lead the execution of creative campaigns and photo/video shoots. This role involves managing all practical aspects of production, from team assembly, talent casting, and location scouting to detailed planning and timely delivery of all production requirements. The position is full-time and requires on-site presence in downtown Los Angeles.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end production of creative projects starting from approved briefs through to final asset delivery.
• Convert creative briefs into comprehensive production plans including budget, scheduling, deliverables, and approval checkpoints.
• Collaborate with the Creative Director and relevant managers to finalize scope, feasibility, and production methodology.
• Keep the production calendar current and manage risk assessment related to budget and schedule, providing contingency solutions.
• Source and present a broad range of model casting options, managing all related logistics including bookings, contracts, and payments.
• Scout and secure appropriate locations that align with creative vision.
• Recruit and coordinate the full production crew, including photographers, stylists, set designers, and technical support, and manage related equipment and rentals.
• Prepare thorough call sheets, schedules, contact information, and plans for daily shoot activities.
• Ensure product readiness, including managing samples, fittings, and styling coordination.
• Organize all travel, accommodations, catering, and on-set logistics to support smooth production operations.
• Oversee post-production timelines, vendor coordination, asset approvals, and final delivery standards.
• Manage legal aspects such as contracts, usage rights, licenses, and asset archival.
• Maintain robust talent and vendor databases, track budgets and documentation, and lead process improvements.

Work Environment

The role demands working within a dynamic, collaborative office culture involving creative teams across marketing, design, and e-commerce with frequent shoots and casting sessions. Flexible hours with potential early mornings, long shoot days, weekend work, and occasional travel are expected.

Requirements

• Minimum 4-5 years of creative production experience specifically within fashion companies.
• Proven ability to independently manage fashion campaigns and editorial photoshoots.
• Strong aesthetic judgment and familiarity with fashion imagery.
• Established network of LA-based models, photographers, studios, and agencies.
• Experience handling casting, crew bookings, location management, permits, insurance, budgeting, and all production logistics.
• Capability to handle multiple productions concurrently and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Strong negotiation skills for managing vendor agreements and rates.
• Resourceful problem-solver who works independently without detailed guidance.
• Must reside in Los Angeles and be able to commute to the downtown office.

• Creative briefs are consistently transformed into detailed and executable production plans.
• Provision of diverse and strong options for casting, locations, and production crews with minimal oversight.
• All shoots start fully prepared and adhere to scheduled plans.
• Creative Directors can focus primarily on the artistic direction without handling logistical challenges.
• Projects remain within budget, and deliverables are completed on time.
• Potential production issues are anticipated and efficiently resolved ahead of impacting outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary ranging between $100,000 and $120,000 dependent on experience.
